I led an international, multidisciplinary group of ~150, responsible for the development and provision of a range of translational research services and products including gene edited models for research and bioproduction applications, CRISPR and cell panel screening to support pre-clinical drug discovery and the development of molecular reference standards to support the development of companion diagnostics.

Head of Research Operations

I led a group of R&D scientists involved in the development and provision of a range of translational research services to support pre-clinical drug discovery programs. These include gene editing techniques (CRISPR-Cas9, AAV and ZFN) to create custom in-vitro models in a range of established human cell lines as well as inducible pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), CRISPR-Cas9 and siRNA screening platforms for target identification and patient stratification studies together with in-vitro assay development and drug screening services.

R&D Director

I led a group of R&D scientists using gene editing techniques (CRISPR-Cas9, AAV and ZFN) to generate custom in-vitro models in a range of established human cell lines to support pre-clinical drug discovery programs and the development of diagnostic assays.

Associate Director

I developed and led a group of R&D scientists responsible for the validation of gene edited cell lines available in an off-the-shelf catalogue.  This included gaining ISO9001 certification, developing and managing stock management capabilities, website development and technical support.

Group Leader

Postdoctoral research in the laboratory of Prof. Sir Steve O’Rahilly & Dr Justin Rochford focusing on the identification and investigation of candidate genes involved in the development of healthy adipocytes and the mechanisms by which loss of the genes, BSCL2 and AGPAT2, cause lipodystrophy in humans.

Research Associate

-	Designing and conducting association studies to identify polymorphisms involved in type 1    diabetes susceptibility – includes sequencing, genotyping and bioinformatics analyses.
-	Designing and conducting studies to dissect the molecular basis and functional implications of disease associated polymorphisms.
-	Statistical analyses of data and manuscript preparation
-	Establishing and managing a core sequencing facility using capillary technology.
-	Supervision and training of visiting scientists, students and staff.
