Gilles Vertongen

Gilles Vertongen is an accomplished physicist with extensive experience in program management, user research, and product development. He holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the Université libre de Bruxelles and a Master's degree in Engineering Physics from the same institution, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Additionally, he holds a Master of Philosophy in Subatomic Physics and Astroparticules from the Université Grenoble Alpes.

Gilles began his professional career as a postdoctoral researcher at the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron and later at the Université catholique de Louvain, exploring the minutiae of theoretical physics. He then transitioned to program management and user research roles, working at Impact Hub Network, HACK BELGIUM, and Namahn. His engineering skillset and experience in program management quickly translated into results-orientated project success.

Gilles is also a published author in reputable science journals, collaborating with colleagues at world-famous research institutions.
