AIM is a cultural non profit organization born to promote our city.
In 2000 I had the idea to organize classes of Internet and WEB alphabetization for elderly people: was very successful, we opened and managed several centers around Italy and we had between 2000 and 2012 something like 50.000 pupils!
We stopped in 2012 because new retired have been in general exposed to the Internet and WEB in there active life.
The project has been exported around Europe in several countries by a common EU funded initiative and is still active.

After merging with other banks the lab was confirmed and we have participated to several projects.
It was basically a continuation in the new group of the activities held in Banco Ambrosiano Veneto.

The main focus of the lab was on the evolution of new channels, in channels orchestration and in usability both on customer and on back office side.

In 1994 I have been called by the bank to setup a Research and Development group into the structure of the BRAVO (Business Reengineering Ambrosiano Veneto) project: a large project in which we have analyzed and optimally redesigned ALL the bank processes.
My laboratory has been responsible of the shift in the branches from 3270 IBM terminals to PC with particular attention to the human machine interface and to the usability.
We developed several prototypes for the various systems and in particular SSV Sistema Supporto Vendite, (Sales support system).
In 1997 we developed the first Home Banking in Italy, second in Europe, and went life in 1998 and the first SMS based home banking system for cell phones.

I'v worked for setting up from a green field of a software factory active in bank and insurances software production.
We have been very active in the shift from mainframes to cluster of servers with several very big customers.
The factory was acquired by EDS and now is one of the two software factories of the  Dallas Group in Europe.
We have also begun to evaluate the usage of Internet for our customers and we have designed some of the earlier professional web sites in Italy.
My laboratory was very active in several large Esprit European projects on usage of microprocessors and portable telephone data connection to the medical field.   I'v been General Manager of quite a few projects.
We where also very active in the design of ergonomically correct interfaces in collaboration with several european universities.

The division was created to offer application of microcomputer to industrial automation.
We worked on several industries: pharmaceutical, carbon steel production converters, automotive production lines using several microcomputer, Apple Lisa and one of the first Apple Macintosh imported in Italy.
We where active also in automatic vision systems applied to quality control.
