Alyx Parks is a proficient UX and product designer with a B.A. in Art History/European History from the University of Guelph. Currently, she is the Head of Careers Programming at Uvaro, where she inspires and helps learners to seek global impact through learning the strategies, trends and soft skills essential for a successful career switch in the tech industry. Her passion for supporting job seekers has been reflected in her previous roles as a Career Coach and Instructor at Uvaro as well as a Career Coach at General Assembly. With her excellent communication skills, she has helped people align their passions with their career goals.

Parks is a founding member of Parks and Coaching, where she was responsible for career development, coaching and talent acquisition. Her skills and expertise have been recognized by organizations, where she worked in different technical recruitment roles at Inteqna, Critical Hire Recruiting, Smart Mint Search Inc., 500px and Digital Factory-Scotiabank. From 2014 to 2017, she worked as a Talent Acquisition Manager at 500px, responsible for scaling the workforce of the company to provide unique online photography services to the users.

Parks is a multi-talented individual with diverse passions, which reflect her interest in fly fishing. When she isn't working, she can be found at Ontarioflygirl Fly Fishing, where she serves as a fishing guide.
