Joe Giaimo is an accomplished MBA graduate and Development Officer with over 10 years of experience in driving business success. Originally from New Jersey, Joe graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Wesleyan University where he also captained the football and baseball teams. He later studied a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in the Social Sciences and a Master of Business Administration with a Strategy & Leadership Concentration at Rutgers Business School.

As Director of Development at Rutgers University Foundation, Joe engages alumni, families, friends, and businesses in one-on-one charitable conversations for their Division I Big Ten Athletics Program. He is responsible for setting and attaining fundraising and engagement metrics for scholarships, facilities, endowments, and operating funds, and working with their administration to deliver a first-class academic and athletic experience for their student-athletes. He is a goal-driven self-starter, solution-oriented, fast learner and listener with strengths in interpreting information and articulating reasons for investment.

Joe’s skills and experience include fundraising strategy, project management, team building, sales/pipeline management, business development, prospecting, cultivating, and account servicing. He has a passion for building relationships and business development. Besides his professional achievements, Joe actively participates in several volunteer and personal interests. He chairs the Wesleyan Young Alumni Athletic Advisory Board and mentors young professionals while doing admissions and recruiting assistance. He is also a donor to various charities and enjoys investing, watching CNBC, ESPN, and all things sports.
