Tammy Hwang is a passionate startup cheerleader, advisor, and realist with solid expertise in economic development, market development, sales, and project management. She studied B.Com at McMaster University and serves as Business Development Officer - Global Hamilton at Hamilton Economic Development. Tammy is an active participant within the community and a group facilitator with a reputation as a chief enabler to all types of local companies. She loves working with startup tools like business model canvas, lean canvas, and strategy map, among others, and can advise entrepreneurs on opportunities to get involved with the community. Tammy is interested in international business, Smart Cities, and social entrepreneurship, and her 9-5 job is to attract and retain talented immigrants and international firms to Hamilton while in her 5pm- 9pm, she co-founded a small business that manages a 10,000 sqft coworking space called CoMotion on King. Tammy has worked with numerous organizations in the past such as CoBuild Hamilton Inc., Strive Consulting, Strategyzer, Innovation Factory.ca, Startup Weekend, Gailani Consultants Inc., and many others.
