Asgar Mahomed is a South African IT entrepreneur known for establishing various successful ventures in the technology industry. Back in the late 80s, Asgar started out helping his family and friends with their computer issues, which led to him opening Micro Matrix Computers in 1989. Over time, he expanded this venture to encompass 17 branches nationwide and transitioned into catering to the Government and Corporate sector with Casey Electronics. His efforts paid off when Casey Group was listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) under the name Casey Investment Holdings Limited in 1998. In 2000, Asgar moved onto a new venture with Esquire Technologies, which became one of the leading IT distributors of computer and lifestyle products in Southern Africa within a few years. He later launched his own courier company, Courier Direct, in 2016.

Asgar Mahomed's background is in computer programming and he has extensive experience in managing and growing IT-related companies, retail stores, distributorships, and courier services. He has expertise in IT solutions, logistics, and e-commerce, and has shown skill in team leadership, business development and strategy, marketing and sales, and entrepreneurship.
