James Elekwachi is a highly skilled professional with a background in international development, specializing in Development Finance. He holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Manchester.

With a wealth of experience in implementing the 'Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P)' methodology for fostering pro-poor growth, James currently serves as the Market Development Projects Manager at the Chevron Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND).

Prior to his current role, James held positions of significant responsibility in various renowned organizations. He was the Programme Manager at the DFID Growth & Employment in the States (GEMS1) project and the Catalytic Intervention Manager for the DFID PrOpCom project. He also served as the Business Development Services (BDS) Fund Manager and Value Chain Expert for the World Bank Micro Small & Medium Enterprise (MSME) Project.

James' expertise extends to business training, where he has worked with micro and small businesses under initiatives such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) funded Support and Training Entrepreneurship Program (STEP). His involvement in training programs includes roles as a Team Leader and Lead Facilitator, showcasing his leadership and facilitation skills.

Recognized for his exceptional talent and dedication, James was a recipient of the prestigious British Chevening Scholarship, an esteemed award bestowed upon mid-career 'high flyers' worldwide by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the British Government.
