Portfolio management. As a Policy Officer take care of Food & Nutrition Security (FNS) projects in Bangladesh funded by Dutch Government. Currently managing 09 projects worth of about 60 million euro.Job Responsibility - FNS Portfolio management in the Embassy. •	Actively oversee and contribute to the management and (project cycle) administration of selected projects. •	Actively contribute to the formulation, appraisal, follow-up and approval of projects and relevant project documents. •	Contribute to and/or advise on the monitoring of selected projects, including the organization of reviews, field visits and the assessment of and follow-up on progress reports. Collaborate closely with the Embassy controller.•	Identify and/or advise on strategic opportunities for portfolio development which are in line with NL/EKN and respond to the needs and demands of Bangladesh.•	Contribute to budget management and result reporting at portfolio level.•	Promote synergy between Embassy projects and centrally funded activities taking place in Bangladesh.•	Promote where appropriate the involvement of the Dutch private sector and liaise with the Economic Affairs section of the EKN.•	Advise on and actively contribute to the drafting of NL/EKN policy documents and strategies such as the multi-annual strategic plan (MASP), policy notes, opinions and reviews. •	Monitor, advise on and where relevant provide inputs to discussions on the national development framework, the international development agenda (SDGs), etc.•	Build, expand and maintain a functional network of contacts with other national and international (partner) organisations including civil society, private sector, knowledge institutes and development partners.•	Maintain a strong functional network of, and actively liaise with, contacts within relevant GOB authorities at policy and operational levels with the aim to promote and facilitate NL-BD and donor-BD dialogues on sector policies, strategies and plans.

Senior Policy Advisor - Food and Nutrition Security

Worked Stromme Foundation (SF) Asia Region since February 2012 to January 2017, mainly looking after 4 programs of different donors. However, the  major responsibilities include - Programme development & management, partnership management, budget management, program coordination, reporting, coordinate with public sectors and private sectors, Backstopping on livelihood programme operation, rural entrepreneurship & value chain development, DRR programme development, empowerment of Peoples' Organizations etc.; Contribute in planning, designing, implementing and monitoring different interventions for social and economic empowerment of marginalized poor;Led SF Bangladesh programme in focusing to - facilitate marginalized poor for Family Development Plan (FDP), livelihood financing for extreme poor, promote self-help groups of marginalized people and their network for protecting their wider socio-economic interest; ensure the safe drinking water, hygiene & sanitation for marginalized families, MSE & SME promotion, enhance community movement for resource mobilization, facilitate duty bearers for more pro-poor responsiveness, promote community service provision and institutionalization of process, networking etc.; facilitate SF to develop and organize communication materials and manual for the capacity building of adolescent and marginalized poor, promote innovations with specific contextual reality, donor specific data organizing and report writing etc. Acted as a Market Development as well as DRR & CCA focal person for SF Asia Region, provide technical backstopping to SF Sri-Lanka, Nepal and Myanmar Team on Sustainable Livelihoods Approaches (SLA), entrepreneurship development and value chain development.  Represented Stromme Foundation in different forum and networks. Organized study, visit, review & consultancy work along with ToR development, and gave accompany support to visitors/missions as and when required. Timely produced quality reports, case studies etc.

Coordinator - Programmes

Livelihood and Market Development (M4P) programme management, partnership management, staff and budget management etc., Contribute to improve the livelihoods of poor people, promote different potential value chains, establish local service provision, reduce the vulnerability of people to natural disaster, create employment & income opportunities for the resource poor people etc. in Sunamganj Region. Lead a regional team of professionals for the Employment & Income (E&I) Programme of Intercooperation, later Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation, Bangladesh. Steering the partnership with selected partner NGOs for implementing programme in the field including fund transaction. Liaison and collaborate with public and private sector. Coordinate all project related activities planning, budgeting, implementing, monitoring, reporting etc. Administering day-to-day management task e.g. staff management, vehicle and other resource management, finance control and transaction etc. Contribute in programme development for the region. Ensure specific programme implementation like gender mainstreaming, DRR, innovative coping strategies etc.

Programme development for addressing the livelihoods of poor & extreme poor, promotion of value chains (vegetable, spices, fruit, dairy, duck, fish, medicinal plant value chains etc.), capacity development of national stakeholders for more responsiveness towards the demand of services, capacity development of Local Service Providers, exploiting the market opportunities for poor and extreme poor, supporting value chain actors and strengthening the business development services for a better, competitive, transparent and pro-poor business environment.   Work closely and maintain liaison to follow-up collaborative activities with national 10 public institutes (like BARC, BFRI, DAE, BARI, BRRI, AIS, DLS, BLRI, DOF, FD etc) and 16 private sector organisations (like ACME, Square, RD Milk, Lalteer. Kazi & Kazi, Meena Bazar etc.) in order to promote a functional local service provision and develop market work for poor. Guiding, coaching and supporting 09 Associate Advisers as well as backstop 20 partner NGOs to implement the programme in the field (56 Upazilla under 17 districts) to improve the livelihoods of resource poor farmers/community members (about 300000 HHs). Facilitate the network of stakeholders (GO, NGO and PS) including international NGOs and projects. Coordinate communication activities including module and material development. Organize TNA as well as training for the staff. Contribute in adopting programmatic approach, livelihood approach, right based approach, DRR etc. in programme. Contribute to take special initiative/innovation for specific target communities (e.g. - extreme poor, vulnerable people etc.). Facilitate to organize workshop, seminar, exchange visit, study tour, training, field days, demonstration etc. as and when required, facilitate the coordinated platform at local and regional level for better coordination among the R&D organisations, facilitate to the process of experience capitalization, reporting etc.

Adviser - Market Development & Service Provision

Coordinate backstopping supports to the livelihood programme LEAF, facilitate the national and regional stakeholders (GOs, NGOs and Private sectors) to resolve the CBO/Clusters needs in holistic approach, transform the community needs into programme, facilitate network of AF stakeholders, Coordinate communication activities including print, electronic and net media, organize TNA as well as training for the staff, stakeholders, beneficiaries including module and materials development, technical backstopping for the capacity building of IC Project staff and its beneficiaries, dialogue and negotiate with the concern resource persons or organisations like national research institutes, universities etc. and mobilize the resources to meet the demand of extension agencies, farmers organizations and other stakeholders, coordinate to develop client appropriate extension and communication materials, organize internet base AF knowledge management system, assist in the implementation of the project through planning and designing different initiatives as and when required,  publishing quarterly Newsletter and other documents regularly, contribute in programme planning etc.

Implement the AFIP Project under the VFFP umbrella (also support to CARE-SHABGE) to improve the quality of AF inputs and technical backstop to its stakeholders; support the capacity building process of farmers and their associations, nursery ownners and strengthen their group dynamics, take initiative to response the identified problems/workplan of FOs, backstopping PNGO staff as well as project staff, knowledge management through identification, acquisition or retrieval, validation, documentation and dissemination of knowledge and information; support students of different Universities, exploring options and opportunities for the beneficiaries; market promotion for the Agroforestry products, diagnosis and analysis the farmers’ problems, take initiative to link between service providers and farmers; development of communication and training materials, facilitating the training process as and when needed, take special initiative for extreme poor, gender mainstreaming, illustrating work detail and contribute in programme planning.

Lead the whole project activities for promoting the household food security, Supervise project staffs (including 09 extension officers, 01 monitoring officer and 450 paid volunteers), ensure the implementation of project interventions timely, maintain synergies with other projects and core programmes of RDRS Bangladesh, Coordinate the capacity building process of staff and beneficiaries and also development of training manual or module, develop AWP (Annual Work Plan) and illustrate the  work-plan into activities, maintain liaison with the donor European Commission and ensure the implementation of their guidelines in the field, Overall responsible for planning and monitoring, Ensure quarterly and annually reporting, baseline and impact studies, total budget management etc.
