Andy James is a prominent figure in the actuarial field based in the UK, leading PwC's northern actuarial practice which was established in 2007 and now consists of 25 qualified actuaries and students.
PwC's UK actuarial practice, under Andy's leadership, accommodates over 300 professionals across various locations including London, Edinburgh, Bristol, Mumbai, and Manchester specializing in auditing and consultancy services for insurance clients and extending advice to non-insurance sectors such as banks, corporates, and health providers.
With a background in Economics and Mathematics from The University of Sheffield followed by an MBA with Distinction from Manchester Business School, Andy has a strong academic foundation for his actuarial expertise.
Prior to his current role at PwC, Andy held significant positions including Director at PwC, Finance Business Partner at AXA, Reporting Actuary at Marks & Spencer Financial Services, Actuarial Student, and Actuary at RSA.
