Rodolfo Saldana is a talented Senior Designer with an emphasis on designing technical, protective footwear for the Motorsports and Outdoor industries. He has worked with popular brands such as Fox Racing, The North Face, Alpinestars USA, and more. Rodolfo has designed various products ranging from motorsport specific footwear for F1, Motocross, and MotoGP Racing, to outdoor, insulated, hiking and running footwear styles. His experience with advanced dual injection technology and no-sew applications makes him an expert in his field.
Rodolfo holds an AA degree in Computer Animation Design and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from the Art Center College of Design. He has worked in various companies and has held several positions, such as the VP of Design at Greenmanta, Owner at Catella Cycling, Senior Industrial Designer at 5.11 Tactical, Freelance Designer at Oakley, and Technical Apparel Designer at Alpinestars, and more.
Rodolfo's product experience includes designing ballistic eyewear, protective guards, gloves, race suits, motorcycle garments, carbon fiber knee braces, and helmets. He re-thought protective pads for the MTB market using biometric data and strategic usage of materials common in footwear production. He was part of a team of developers, cut and sew technicians, and 3D Cad designers who worked together to create a product that won Product of the Year for kids chest protector in 2013, which resulted in $1 million NVP.
