Dave Dale is a renowned data scientist with several years of experience working with various blue-chip companies. He holds an M.A. Hons in Natural Sciences from Christ's College, Cambridge University, a Ph.D. and an MRes, Modelling of Biological Complexity from University College London, U. of London. Before co-founding The Efficient Data Group, Dave worked as a Head of Data Science at News UK, where he managed a team of fifteen and aided the commercial, marketing, and editorial teams with projects. His team delivered invaluable projects, including the James AI digital butler, the Times propensity subscription model, and INCA, the contextual analytics tool for the Times editorial team. Dave previously worked as a Vice President, Data Research at Winton Group, where he contributed immensely to streamlining data generation for quants at Europe's largest Hedge Fund. He began his career as a Research Statistician at Gambit Research, and later, as a Software Development Engineer 2 at Microsoft. Before joining the industry, Dave was a non-stipendiary college lecturer in Maths and Statistics, St Hilda's College at University of Oxford, where he was also a postdoctoral researcher.
