Tim Verhagen

Tim Verhagen is a licensed gastro-intestinal surgeon and surgical oncologist with expertise in colorectal, bariatric, abdominal wall, and anti-reflux surgery.

He has a strong background in advanced minimally invasive techniques, including TaTME and robotic surgery, and actively engages in clinical research focusing on chronic abdominal wall pain at the SolviMáx, Center of Excellence.

Verhagen pursued his education achieving his VWO, Gymnasium with honors (Cum Laude) at Augustinianum, High School, followed by a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree specializing in Algemene geneeskunde from Universiteit Maastricht.

Throughout his career, he has been associated with various prestigious organizations, serving as a Surgeon at ZGT and holding positions as Surgical Fellow and Surgical Resident at ZGT, Maxima Medisch Centrum, and azM / Maastricht UMC+. Additionally, he has also worked as an Emergency Medicine Resident at Maxima Medisch Centrum.
