The Mobile switching center is center piece in the architecture of circuit switched mobile networks. It involves the connections with various Base stations and other network elements. Also it is responsible for allocating circuits and generating billing information. Its software architecture is hierarchical and contains over 7 million lines of code in Assembly, C and C++. The code is maintained using Rational Clearcase. Call Manager Subsystem is responsible for allocating circuits and generating billing records of each call. The MSC was run on VxWorks and EKOS operating systems. It contains the required embedded system used for switching in the Netowrk. The wider variety involves SAN based internet routing capabilities

Responsibilities
- Design of Software Functional Specification for CALL MANAGER Sub-system for
1. Emergency Call and Positioning Service.
2. Customized Ring Back Tones.
