Stokes studied law at the University of Wolverhampton after studying at Fryerns School. He has held several leadership positions at global companies, including Abdul Latif Jameel and JATO Dynamics, where he served as a director and member of the board of directors. He also spent time as the country managing director and vice president of marketing and strategy at Volvo Car (Thailand) Ltd.
