Mike Nonemacher is a highly skilled software engineer and manager with over 20 years of experience, specializing in database interaction, performance analysis and improvement, and library/API design. He studied BS in Math/Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and has worked with several top-tier companies, including Google, Lombardi Software, MessageOne, and Trilogy. As a founding software engineer at MessageOne, he led the teams that built three of their products from scratch. At Lombardi Software, he worked on enterprise BPM solutions and gained expertise in highly scalable runtime behavior and historical analysis. He explored his experience in troubleshooting customer problems into an educational presentation on deadlocks in Java Enterprise applications at JavaOne 2006.

Mike has been with Google for over 6 years, working on several projects, including Guava, a set of utility libraries for Java, and leading the shipping and logistics team for Google Shopping Express, a revolutionary ecommerce ecosystem that offers same-day delivery from local stores. His contributions to enterprise software applications and his innovations in product content management and organization in web-based commerce applications, email traffic reporting, failover scenarios, and same-day delivery logistics have earned him the title of named inventor on three patents with 15+ patents pending.
