Anita Sengupta
Anita Sengupta is an accomplished aerospace engineer, rocket scientist, engineering professor, commercial pilot, and space exploration veteran. Holding a PhD and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California, Sengupta has an impressive list of experiences and accomplishments. She has served as a Senior Systems Engineer and Contract Technical Manager at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, managing Venus Entry System Phase and as the Mars Entry Descent and Landing Senior Systems Engineer. Sengupta was also a Senior Vice President at Hyperloop One, and an Associate Professor at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. She is the founder and CEO of Hydroplane, where she continues to advance society with the development of sustainability-focused technologies.
As a Cognizant Engineer at Boeing Space and Communications, and as an Engineer/Scientist she has developed technical skills that have made her a leading expert in aerospace engineering. Sengupta's interest in space exploration has grown into a lifelong passion that has driven her to develop cutting-edge technologies for spaceflight.
