David Schurman is a prominent computational scientist, information designer, and entrepreneur widely recognized for his exceptional knowledge and expertise in Earth and planetary sciences applications. Schurman is the co-founder and the Chief Technology Officer at Perennial, a renowned remote sensing and climate-tech company that develops a global measurement platform for soil-based carbon credits.
Previously, Schurman worked as a software lead at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where he led incubation for a data science and UI toolset used to search for life on Mars by the Perseverance Rover science team.
