Steven Liaros is a multi-talented individual with a wealth of knowledge and experience in civil engineering, town planning, building, and environmental law. Currently pursuing a PhD in Political Economy at the University of Sydney, he aims to design policies and economic strategies that will promote the circular economy and build resilient and globally connected local communities.

Liaros has an impressive educational background, having completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and graduate diplomas in town planning and environmental law from the University of Sydney and the University of Technology Sydney, respectively. He also holds a Master's degree in Environmental Law from the University of Sydney.

Liaros has held several positions over the course of his career, including Director at PolisPlan, Strategic Planning Specialist at Fairfield City Council, Public Domain Planning Manager at the City of Sydney and South Sydney City Council, and principal planner at Newplan.

In his current position, Liaros is focused on shaping public policy that encourages the adoption of circular economy principles, a model of strategic economic planning that emphasizes sustainability, efficiency, and the reduction of waste.
