She has also been a distinguished visiting scholar at Stanford University and has served as an educator in both the Cupertino Union School District and San Juan Unified School District.

Jennifer's career has also taken her beyond traditional education settings. She has served in marketing and curriculum development roles at Tenth Planet, Hewlett-Packard, and Apple, where she led engineering and marketing education efforts. She was also a partner at Sequoia Hills Stables.
