Kenneth Chen is a highly motivated and accomplished software engineer with a passion for making a positive impact. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Master of Arts in Education, he spent several years as a middle school math and science teacher before pivoting his career towards coding. Chen has gained valuable hands-on experience working with JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, and HTML/CSS, which he plans to continuously develop as he expands his knowledge of software development.
Throughout his career, Chen has contributed to a range of organizations, including The Louis Armstrong Middle School, The Facing History School, and M.S. 131 - Sun Yat Sen Middle School as a Teacher, and Asian American Coalition for Education as a volunteer. He has also taken up leadership positions as a Global Academic Fellow (GAF) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), a Teaching Assistant at Nationwide Master, and a Tutor at Surpass Preparatory Center.
Chen's great talent in building is inspiring, with an impressive background in both teaching and programming, he remains committed to learning and mastering new technologies that use programming languages he has already learned. With this mindset, he is eager to find his ideal way of contributing to software development while helping fellow engineers reach their goals.
