Aya Waller-Bey
University Innovation Fellow
Aya Waller-Bey is an education consultant and strategist with a passion for addressing challenges in higher education through creative and innovative solutions. Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, her personal experience as a first-generation collegiate from a low-income background imbues her work with a deep sense of purpose.
Aya leverages the power of storytelling to advocate for change and increase visibility for key issues. Her focus lies in empowering both young individuals and organizations through her expertise in education consulting and advising.
Aya's academic journey includes studies at Renaissance High School, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Georgetown University, and a Masters in Education and Philosophy from the University of Cambridge.
Professionally, Aya has been actively involved in various organizations. She is the founder of The Calcc and has previously served as a University Innovation Fellow at Arizona State University, College Guidance Coordinator at Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America (LEDA), and Admissions Officer and African American Recruitment Coordinator at Georgetown University.
