Avnish Sikka is a technology and management professional with over 25 years of experience in the field. He has worked on various projects related to natural language speech understanding, entity resolution, OCR/text, and visual recognition augmented reality applications, along with distributed systems and scalable services using Amazon Cloud (EC2). His expertise also includes network management, software design, development, and customer support for mobile, wireless, and e-commerce products. Additionally, Avnish is a skilled project manager and has successfully led the development of multiple customer-focused software solutions from inception to delivery. He has championed defining, developing, and enforcing effective software engineering project development methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall. Avnish holds a B.Tech. in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee and has previously worked with various reputable organizations. Currently, he serves as the Director of engineering (Alexa Natural Language Understanding, Entity Resolution) at Amazon.
