Avik Roy
Avik Roy, a renowned public policy expert and healthcare investor, is the current President of The Foundation for Research on Equal Opportunity (FREOPP.org). A graduate of top-tier institutions like Yale University School of Medicine and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Roy has advised three presidential candidates on policy, including Marco Rubio, Rick Perry, and Mitt Romney. His work on health care reform has earned widespread praise from both conservative and liberal media outlets. NBC’s Chuck Todd has called him one “of the most thoughtful guys [who has] been debating” health care reform. MSNBC’s Chris Hayes has praised Roy's Forbes blog, The Apothecary, as “one of the best takes from conservatives on that set of issues.” Roy is also a senior advisor to the Bipartisan Policy Center and serves on the advisory board of the National Institute for Health Care Management.
