Austin Woolridge is the Co-Founder and CEO of Players' Lounge, a gaming company based in New York City.2 Players' Lounge is a platform where gamers can play their favorite video games in head-to-head competitions and tournaments for prizes.3 Woolridge co-founded Players' Lounge with Zach Dixon and Dan Delaney.4 He believes that gamers should have the opportunity to make money playing video games without dedicating their lives to becoming a pro player.3
Prior to Players' Lounge, Woolridge was the Founder of The Arsenals Production LLC and the Head of Operations at Fueled, a mobile app development agency.21 At Fueled, he was responsible for payroll management, new employee onboarding, timesheet management, expense reporting, and client/partner contracts. He also led internal projects such as H1-B/J-1 Visa acquisitions, new foreign bank accounts & entities, payroll, and health insurance/benefits.2
Before Fueled, Woolridge worked in ecommerce operations and logistics at Master & Dynamic, where he facilitated order fulfillment and managed the website.2 He also worked as a Digital Strategist at Hungry.1
Woolridge is also an accomplished music producer, with production credits on the Billboard #1 hip hop album in the US, “Excuse My French,” and iTunes #1 albums such as “Excuse My French”, “Relief”, “Up & Away”, and “Boston’s Boy”.1 He has produced for artists such as French Montana, Kid Ink, Fabolous, Sammy Adams, and Pusha T.13
Players' Lounge has partnered with EA Sports, AB InBev, and the New York City Football Club.3 The company has distributed millions of dollars in prize money each month and has been featured in ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and Tech Crunch.3 In September 2022, Players’ Lounge raised $10.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Griffin Gaming Partners with participation from Comcast Ventures, Samsung Next, Vice Ventures, WndrCo, Sharp Alpha Partners, True Capital, Myles Garrett, Josh Norman, and Breanna Stewart.5 This funding is intended to expand the platform beyond sports games and into other video games, such as Call of Duty, and to introduce new wagering features.5
Woolridge holds a bachelor's degree in History from Wesleyan University, where he was a four-year starter on the men's soccer team.31 He also attended the Y Combinator startup accelerator program.21
