Augie Praley, a Manhattan-based writer, director, and actor, is a rising star in the entertainment industry. Praley's talent and unique perspective have earned him numerous accolades, including quarter-finalist for the Academy Nicholl Fellowship for his screenplay "i am become the sea." Praley's creative work has been recognized by The New York Times, who hailed his one-man web series, Augie, Alone, as "a series of delightful solo vignettes that announce a strong new comic voice."
Praley studied Theatre and Performance Studies at The University of Chicago, and later earned his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Dramatic Writing from New York University. After completing his education, Praley gained diverse experience by working in different capacities, such as a Writer/Producer On-Air Creative at Comedy Central, Brand Content Creator at McCann, Writer at Blue Man Group, and Instructor at Writopia Lab. Praley co-created the web series INGENUE, created and spearheaded SuperDeluxe's Future You web series, and served as Radio Woolly Podcast Producer and Literary Intern at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company.
Currently, Praley works as a Senior Writer/Producer for Comedy Central's brand creative team. Praley's talent, training, and diversity of experience make him a highly competitive candidate for the entertainment industry's most coveted roles.
