Audrey Bernstein

Audrey Bernstein is an accomplished artist and professor of digital arts. For over twenty-five years, she has created unique collages using a variety of sources, from old letters and found objects to her own photographs. Her collages are printed on canvas, then painted over to create a final product that is separate from the original photograph. In doing so, she eliminates the distinction between various art forms, allowing the viewer to see the creative process in a new light.

Audrey studied at the Visual Studies Workshop, where she earned her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Photography. Prior to that, she also earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Photography from Cornell University. Over the years, her work has been featured in numerous one-woman shows in New York and Europe, including a collection at the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris, as well as on the cover of Time Magazine. She has worked with several well-known clients, including Patti Smith and Lou Reed, creating record covers and editorial work.

In addition to her extensive experience as an artist, Audrey has held several teaching positions over the years. She was an Associate Professor of Photography at Long Island University and has served as a Faculty Member at the International Center of Photography, an Adjunct Professor at Saint John's University, and an Adjunct Professor at New Jersey City University and Hofstra University.
