Attica Alexis Jaques is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of U.S. Marketing at Ancestry, a leading family history and consumer genomics company.1 She is responsible for overseeing growth strategies, subscriber engagement, and go-to-market executions, with a focus on injecting new energy into the brand and broadening the appeal of its family history products.1
Jaques has an extensive background in marketing and brand management.14 Before joining Ancestry, she was Head of Global Brand Marketing, Consumer Apps at Google for approximately three and a half years.1 Prior to Google, Jaques was Senior Vice President of Global Brand Management at Under Armour, and spent over a decade at Gap, where she rose to Vice President of Global Marketing.1 During her time at Gap, she helped launch the company’s Gap, Banana Republic, and Old Navy brands in international markets, and led cause marketing efforts across 30 countries.1
Jaques holds a Masters of Strategic Communications from Columbia University and a Bachelors in Sociology from UCLA.3 She has also completed executive programs from the Judge School of Business at Cambridge and Design Thinking at Stanford University.3
In addition to her work in marketing, Jaques serves as a board director for sustainable jewelry brand Brilliant Earth and is a founding member of Chief, a private network devoted to connecting and uplifting women in top leadership positions.1 She was also accepted into BLCK VC as an executive fellow for the Black Venture Institute program sponsored by Salesforce Ventures at UC Berkeley.2
