Athena Ruland is a driven professional with a diverse background in business management, marketing, institutional equities sales, and health benefit analysis. She graduated from Menlo College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and utilized her education to excel in her career endeavors. She worked at JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank as an Institutional Equities Sales Assistant, where she developed strong interpersonal skills while working with clients. Athena then transitioned to become the Lead Health Benefit Analyst at the County of San Mateo, where she gained expertise in health benefits analysis, data analysis, and project management. Moving forward, Athena landed a position as the Executive Assistant to CFO and Investment Team at VMG Partners, where she learned about finance and investment. Currently, Athena is a member of the marketing team at Kleiner Perkins, a top venture capital firm, where she implements her marketing and communication skills in the industry.
