Athena Karafotas

Athena Kan is a highly accomplished CEO, computer science expert, researcher, and former software engineer at world-renowned organizations such as Uber, the City of Boston, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and more. She is a Harvard University alumnus with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Athena has shared her wealth of knowledge and experience with the companies she's worked for and co-founded, such as the technology-focused social enterprise, Coding it Forward.

Athena has also held positions as the Managing Partner at Dorm Room Fund, Greylock X Fellow at Greylock Partners, and has served as part of the investing team at 8VC. She is a problem-solver at heart, driving projects that aim to make positive changes in the world. Athena now heads Dreambound, a biotech company that is developing innovative gene therapies.
