Athena Desai

Athena Desai is a highly accomplished acupuncturist and Reiki master, with a strong educational background in alternative medicine. She graduated from The Hotchkiss School and earned a B.A. in Anthropology from Vassar College. Athena then went on to study a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture at New England School of Acupuncture. She has an impressive list of professional experiences, including working as an acupuncturist and herbalist at Harvard Square Acupuncture & Massage, Inner Sage Boston Acupuncture, and as an Eastern Medicine Practitioner at Balans. Athena has also interned at various health centers such as Pathways to Wellness and Lemuel Shattuck Hospital.

Athena is known for her expertise in Acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, particularly in the fields of herbalism and Reiki. She is passionate about empowering patients to take a proactive approach to their health and well-being. Athena worked as a teaching assistant at New England School of Acupuncture and has reported on various health topics for notable media organizations such as NPR, WGBH, KPBS, and WBUR Radio.
