Atharv Gupta is a Junior at Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs with minors in Chinese and Computer Science. His passion lies in leveraging technology to address sustainable development challenges and bridge the digital divide, with a keen interest in governance of emerging technologies, data privacy, cybersecurity, and innovation ecosystems in sub-Saharan Africa.
Atharv has gained valuable experience working across various organizations within the development sector, including roles at international financial institutions like the World Bank, government agencies like the U.S. Department of State, and community-based nonprofits in East and West Africa.
He has excelled academically, maintaining a 4.0 GPA in his Bachelor's degree program at Georgetown University, following an Advanced Studies Diploma at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.
In terms of professional experience, Atharv has held positions like Director of Project Impact at Georgetown Global Consulting, Teaching Assistant at Georgetown University, Technical Disinformation Analyst at DisinfoLab, Intern at the U.S. Department of State, and Digital Agriculture and Food Global Practice Intern at The World Bank.
