Architect
Aswin Widjaya is an accomplished architect with a diverse educational background and extensive professional experience in architecture, sustainable design, and BIM (Building Information Modeling). He holds a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), a Master of Science in Sustainable Design (MSSD), and a Minor in Chinese Studies from Carnegie Mellon University.
Aswin began his career as a BIM Specialist in New York, honing his technical skills before transitioning to WeWork. During his time at WeWork, he played a key role in standardizing programming processes and gaining expertise in US building standards. In 2017, he moved to Shanghai to spearhead architectural development in the APAC market, where he adapted to local processes, collaborated with consultants, and managed a team of local architects.
Having gained proficiency in both metric and imperial units, Aswin returned to New York in 2019. Subsequently, he transitioned to MCF Architects in Pittsburgh, focusing on healthcare and education projects, marking a new chapter in his career.
Aswin's professional journey includes roles at Dankor Architecture, MCF Architecture, and various positions at WeWork, where he served as Senior Architecture Manager, Senior Project Architect, and BIM Specialist. He has also contributed to organizations such as CASE Inc and participated in the Consortium for Building Energy Innovation (CBEI) as a Research Assistant and Presenter.
