Askar Toksanbayev is a seasoned financial services executive with expertise in credit management, banking, and finance. He has completed credit management training at the Citibank Training Center and has studied banking, corporate, finance, and securities law at the International Banking School of the IFC World Bank training. Additionally, he has a diploma in physics, thermal physics, and thermodynamics from Kazakh State University.

Throughout his career, Toksanbayev has held numerous executive positions across various organizations. He is currently the Senior Executive Officer at the AIFC Branch of Unibank in Kazakhstan. Toksanbayev has also held the position of Representative for Kazakhstan and Central Asia at Unibank Armenia. He has extensive experience in investor relations, management, and corporate finance, having served as both Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director at Lendex.io and Insignia Lifestyle Management.

Prior to these roles, Toksanbayev served as Corporate Bank Head at Binbank and VP NPL Dept Head at Promsvyazbank. He has also held positions at Almaty Development Center, Moskommertsbank, Halyk Bank, CITIBANK Kazakhstan, and the Central Asian American Enterprise Fund.
