Ashwin Cheriyan

Ashwin Cheriyan is a prominent entrepreneur with a diverse background that includes corporate law and surfing. He is the co-founder and CEO of Thistle, a cutting-edge organic food and nutrition company based in the Bay Area. Prior to Thistle, Ashwin co-founded WeGoFair, a social enterprise focused on rating hotels and restaurants on social and environmental criteria. With a strong corporate law background, Ashwin spent several years as an M&A associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York, dealing with transactions exceeding $100 billion. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brown University and a J.D. with Honors from The University of Texas School of Law. Apart from his professional endeavors, Ashwin is actively involved in advising and investing in startups, indulging in outdoor activities like mountain biking in Marin county, surfing in Bolinas, and exploring the culinary scene of the Bay Area.
