Ashli Polanco

Ashli Polanco is a Chemical Engineering Ph.D. Candidate with a diverse research background in cancer biology, molecular biology, and materials science. Currently focusing on applying metabolomics and transcriptomics to study changes in CHO cell behavior for her Ph.D. dissertation.

She possesses strong teaching and communication skills gained through teaching assistantships and volunteer roles where she taught STEM subjects to K-12 and college students.

Ashli Polanco studied Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell and holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemistry with a concentration in Psychology from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Her professional experience includes roles such as Doctoral Researcher at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, NSF Intern at Takeda, Spectroscopy Intern at Bristol-Myers Squibb, ORISE Fellow at US Army Natick Soldier Research, Development, and Engineering Center, Process Development Associate at Broad Technology Labs at the Broad Institute, and Co-Founder at Gique.

Ashli Polanco has contributed as a Process Development Associate and UROP Research Assistant in various programs at the Broad Institute, showcasing her versatile skills and expertise across different organizations and disciplines.
