Ashley Brundage

Ashley O. Brundage is the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity, officially starting her role on May 13, 2024. She brings over 20 years of extensive experience in the affordable housing sector, having previously served for 17 years at United Way of Metropolitan Dallas as the Executive Director of Housing Stability and Senior Vice President of Community Impact. In this capacity, she was a key figure in initiatives that provided significant rental assistance and funding to various nonprofits, notably during the COVID-19 pandemic.124

Brundage is also recognized for her leadership as the founding board chair of the Dallas Housing Coalition, where she has been instrumental in advocating for policy reforms to create and protect affordable housing in Dallas. Her efforts have included mobilizing resources for programs that assisted thousands of families and securing funding for affordable housing initiatives.35

In her new role at Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity, Brundage aims to leverage her community knowledge and relationships to enhance collaboration among various stakeholders, including nonprofits, donors, and public partners, to expand affordable housing availability in the Dallas area.14 She is noted for her commitment to addressing homelessness and affordable housing challenges through innovative solutions and systemic policy changes.56

Brundage's appointment comes at a pivotal time for Dallas Habitat, following the departure of the previous CEO amid controversy, and she is seen as a leader capable of restoring trust and guiding the organization into its next phase of growth and impact.37
