Ashleigh Barnes is a highly accomplished individual with a rich educational background and extensive professional experience in the legal field.

After obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy in Law and a Bachelor of Civil Law with Distinction from the prestigious University of Oxford, Ashleigh also pursued a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (French) at the University of Technology, Sydney.

Ashleigh Barnes has been actively involved in various organizations and roles, including serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Family Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford, and as the Co-Chair at Oxford Pro Bono Publico. Additionally, Ashleigh has significant experience as a former Bonavero Institute of Human Rights Student Fellow at REDRESS and as a Research Officer at Oxford Pro Bono Publico.

Ashleigh's professional journey includes positions such as a Legal Intern at United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials, Research Intern at UTS Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Learning, Casenoter at LexisNexis, and Tipstaff to the Honourable Justice Robert McDougall at the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
