Ashfaaq Carim

Ashfaaq Carim is a highly experienced professional with a diverse educational background in Economics, Management, Finance, International Business, and Arabic Language studies.

He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business and Finance from the University of South Africa/Universiteit Van Suid - Afrika.

Ashfaaq Carim has held various key positions in prestigious organizations, including being the Digital Editor-in-Chief and Manager of Digital Content at TRT World. Prior to that, he served as a Lecturer and Convener of the Journalism Post Graduate Program at the University of the Witwatersrand.

His previous roles include Editorial Manager at Aj+, Editorial and Hiring Launch Lead at Al Jazeera America, Head of Editorial Integration at Al Jazeera Media Network, Online Planning Editor, Deputy News Editor, and Producer for Inside Story at Al Jazeera Media Network.

Moreover, Ashfaaq Carim has contributed to the media industry as a Presenter and Producer at ITV Television Network in Pretoria, South Africa, and also served as the Chairperson of the Muslim Student Association of the University of the Witwatersrand.
