Asa Irwin is an accomplished Senior Philanthropy Officer with extensive experience in fundraising, donor relationship management, and organizational advancement. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Oregon State University, a Certificate in Fundraising Management from the University of Washington, and a Master's degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University, Asa has an impressive educational background. Throughout their career, they have held various positions in nonprofit organizations, including their current role as Senior Philanthropy Officer for the Leadership 1000 Scholarship Program at the College Success Foundation. Asa's primary responsibilities include building relationships with potential scholarship donors, planning and facilitating donor/scholar meetings, and hosting special events to increase donations to the scholarship program. They are also responsible for developing a pipeline of prospective donors and opportunities to engage them in the Foundation's overall mission of promoting equity in education for underrepresented college students in Washington State. Prior to joining the College Success Foundation, Asa's experience included positions such as Major Gifts Officer and Assistant Director for Advancement Undergraduate Academic Affairs at the University of Washington, Capital Campaign Coordinator, Interim Director of Development, and Major Gifts/Donor Relationship Officer at Friends of Youth.
