Arup Gupta

Arup Gupta is the Director of Wireless Platform Innovations at Intel, specializing in driving Platform Innovation and Differentiation for Smartphones, Wearables, Tablets, and Laptops.

With a strong background in engineering and management, Arup has held key roles such as CTO of the Consumer Electronics group at Intel and VP of Engineering at multiple startups.

Before joining Intel in 2002, Arup served as an Engineering Director at Lucent Technologies, where he led Silicon and systems teams for reference design platforms in Consumer Wireless and Bluetooth.

During his tenure at AT&T/Lucent Bell Labs, Arup contributed to the development of over 20 commercially successful DSPs, mixed signal, and RF ICs, showcasing his expertise in Architecture for Platform differentiation.

Arup holds a MSEE from Washington State University, a BTech(Hons) from IIT Kharagpur, India, and has pursued Executive management courses from prestigious institutions like Harvard University and Wharton School of Business.

His 5+ awarded patents on Mobile Platform architectures demonstrate his innovative approach, and he is actively involved in professional organizations such as IEEE and Sigma Xi.
