Arun Govind

Arun Govind, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the Geomatics field with expertise spanning over 17 years, focusing on remote sensing and GIS applications in various sectors such as ecology, agriculture, and forestry.

Throughout his career, Arun has showcased strong proficiency in remote sensing, image processing, GIS, spatial analysis, geoprocessing, data integration, and statistical analysis. He has a track record of securing $1.5 million in projects and is skilled in technical and scientific writing.

His technical skills include geospatial data creation, spatial database management, thematic cartography, multispectral and hyperspectral remote sensing data processing, spatial statistics, and integration of ecological and agricultural datasets with RS and GIS data.

Arun is well-versed in a range of GIS software such as ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, and has expertise in database management using SQL and MS Access. He is proficient in RS software like ENVI-IDL, PCI Geomatica, and ERDAS Imagine, among others.
