Artin Avanes

Artin Avanes is an experienced product manager with a primary focus on enterprise SAAS and data analytics. His expertise lies in databases, data warehousing, big data, distributed and parallel systems, cloud computing, and enterprise software.

He is skilled in building, driving, and iterating on product roadmaps with deep customer engagements. Artin excels in cross-team collaboration across engineering, marketing, and sales departments.

His experience includes end-to-end customer engagements from pre-sales to production, as well as demand growth strategies. Additionally, he has a background in building engineering and product teams and has been a speaker at various technical conferences.

Artin Avanes pursued his education by completing a PhD in Computer Science at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and a Master's degree in Database and Information System at Freie Universität Berlin.

Throughout his career, he has held prominent positions such as Director of Product Management at Snowflake, where he was also part of the founding PM team. Prior to Snowflake, he served as a Senior Program Manager for Azure & SQL Server at Microsoft and as a Program Manager for SQL Server DW appliance at the same company.

Artin has also contributed as a Visiting Researcher at Stanford's Infolab at Stanford University and as a Research Fellow in the Database System Group at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He began his professional journey as a Research Assistant and Intern at SAP Labs.
