•	Review detailed investigative reports concerning allegations of misconduct against sworn members of the Denver Police Department.
•	Evaluate Internal Affairs Bureau’s reports, statements, video and audio evidence in order to compose a ‘Review and Findings’ letter that applies applicable laws and city/police department policies to the summary of facts per case. 
•	Acted as the first civilian in this role as part of the pilot project to civilianize positions previously held by high-ranking sworn members of the Denver Police Department. As a result of my successful pilot project, three civilians now operate within this role. 
•	Conduct research and analysis on specific operational and administrative issues, while explored possible alternatives and solutions. 
•	Develop recommendations for new, revised and improved processes.
•	Plan and assist installing new methods, policies, procedures and processes.

•	Created, evaluated and formed policy for Mayor Hancock and his Administration, specializing in public safety, public health, sustainability, environmental stewardship, immigration issues, water issues, gang-related issues and urban agriculture, for the City and County of Denver (e.g. an entity with over 11,000 employees, 40+ agencies/departments and a yearly operating budget of $1.1 billion).  
•	Completed strategic research into complex issues, developed possible solutions, recommended policy actions and evaluated the effectiveness of existing government policies and programs that were focused on the Mayor’s five priorities of kid, jobs, safety net, customer service and sustainability.  
•	Co-created, developed and managed the Mayor's Denver Seeds Initiative focused on the creation and augmentation of a local food economy in Denver, CO.  
•	Served as a member of the City and County of Denver’s collective bargaining team for the 2012 negotiations with the Denver Fire Fighters’ union, the Denver Police Department’s union and the Denver Sheriff’s Department’s union.  
•	Demonstrated strong writing skills through briefings and policy memos for the Mayor’s consideration. 
•	Served as a member of the Executive Committee and the Policy Steering Committee for the Gang Reduction Initiative of Denver (GRID).
•	Served as a commissioner on the Denver Drug Strategy Commission.
•	Served as a member of the Racial and Gender Disparity Committee on the Crime Prevention and Control Commission.
