Senior Planner - Bus Rapid Transit Corridor Planning

•Led the development of Transportation Master Plans and mobility policies for Secondary Plans, notably in transit oriented growth areas like Yonge Street North and Don Mills Crossing. 
•Managed and provided direction to consulting teams, including developing work plans, budgeting, and assessing deliverables. 
•Reviewed mixed-use and multi-unit development applications, and represented the Transportation Planning section through the City's process to transform development review, Concept 2 Keys.

Senior Transportation Planner

•Reviewed Metrolinx transit infrastructure plans and co-ordinated multi-stakeholder responses to advance municipal interests, such as requesting variances to Eglinton Crosstown LRT to protect for future public roads, and improvements to multi-use trail designs for Finch West Light Rail Transit. 
•Provided transportation planning input to medium and large scale redevelopment projects, including facilitation of consultation workshops, and attendance of mediation meetings with applicants.

Transportation Planner

•Managed the development of the Sustainable Transportation Strategy - a long term action plan to increase the Region’s mode share of people walking, cycling, transit, and carpooling.
•Initiated and managed active transportation projects, including bike lanes, multi-use trails, and intersection improvements with bicycle signals and crossrides. 
•Represented sustainable transportation interests in a variety of studies, including the Official Plan review, Long Range Transportation Plan Update, Environmental Assessments, and detailed design for road reconstruction projects.
•Led an update of regional road design standards to formalize more pedestrian and bike-friendly conditions, relating to intersection curb radii, right-turn channels, accesses, and transit shelter interaction with cycling facilities.  
•Managed the budget for the active transportation infrastructure program, and undertook funding applications for grants.  
•Collaborated with stakeholders and other level of governments to form partnerships on sustainable transportation initiatives, such as working with the Ministry of Transportation to secure the addition of multi-use trails and to highway rehabilitation projects.
•Identified opportunities to improve the commenting process for development applications to incorporate transportation demand management guidelines and recommendations.

•Managed and contributed to planning studies and design assignments for the development of bicycle facilities, multi-use trails, and pedestrian paths.
