Arpit Agarwal

Arpit Agarwal is a Software Engineer II at Microsoft, currently working in the M365 Core : People Contacts And Relationships team. Specializing in back-end engineering, Arpit focuses on analyzing and enhancing the performance of existing service APIs. Previously, Arpit was part of the Kaizala Team within the M365 Ecosystem, where he contributed to the development of a real-time communication platform, Microsoft Kaizala, focusing on client-side tasks such as building shared infrastructure and core business logic for Android, iOS, and WebApp platforms.

Before joining Microsoft, Arpit gained valuable experience during his four-year tenure at Samsung Research Institute Bangalore, where he worked on various IoT technology stacks and AI projects. He actively participated in projects that led to the open-sourcing and production integration of his work with the TizenRT OS.

Arpit holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science & Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Guwahati and has built a solid foundation in tech skills like Mobile Apps development, IoT Protocols, System Design, User Personalization, and programming languages like C and C++. Known for his quick learning abilities and seamless adaptation to new technology stacks, Arpit has a proven track record of efficiently integrating into new teams and projects.

Throughout his career, Arpit has held various roles such as Lead Engineer and Senior Software Engineer at Samsung Electronics, in addition to contributing as an Executive Member of the IIT Guwahati Alumni Association. His professional journey also includes internships at Oracle and Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, where he demonstrated his passion for expanding his knowledge and skill set.
