Arnel Guiang

Arnel Guiang is a prominent entrepreneur and the Founder & Chairman of the Board at FLOAT Shuttle, a transportation startup aimed at alleviating traffic congestion in Southern California by providing air shuttle services. FLOAT, which stands for "Fly Over All Traffic," was established to offer commuters a faster alternative to traditional ground transportation by utilizing existing general aviation airports for short flights across densely populated areas.

Guiang's journey into entrepreneurship began while he was commuting two hours daily from Diamond Bar to El Segundo, California. This experience inspired him to create FLOAT, which officially launched in 2018. The service is designed to offer an app-based experience similar to ride-sharing platforms, allowing users to book flights, make payments, and track their planes in real-time through a mobile application.12

In addition to his role at FLOAT, Guiang has a diverse background in technology and entrepreneurship. He has held various positions, including being the CEO of his consulting firm, Guiang Corporation, and has been involved in other ventures such as ChatApp, a social messaging platform. His career also includes significant experience in product management and engineering at companies like Northrop Grumman and Mattel.24

Guiang is an alumnus of the University of California, San Diego, and has emphasized the importance of mentorship for aspiring entrepreneurs. He aims to expand FLOAT's services throughout Southern California and beyond, particularly in anticipation of the 2028 U.S. Olympics in Los Angeles.13
