Arlan Hamilton

Arlan Hamilton is a prominent investor and the founder and managing partner of Backstage Capital, a venture capital firm dedicated to investing in startups led by underrepresented founders, including women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ individuals. Born on October 30, 1980, near Dallas, Texas, Hamilton's journey into the world of venture capital is particularly remarkable due to her background; she launched her firm while experiencing homelessness in 2015, having previously worked in the music industry as a tour manager and production coordinator for various artists.13

Hamilton's firm, Backstage Capital, has raised over $30 million and invested in nearly 200 companies since its inception.
