Arka Bala is the Co Founder & CTO of OmniLayers, a Silicon Valley-based start-up focused on creating a spatial DNS-like registry for the Internet of Everything.

With 17 years of experience as an Entrepreneur and Big Data Architect, Arka has a strong skill set in Big Data, Cloud systems, and spatial technologies, with a background spanning financial services, startups, and various other verticals.

Arka is the Ex-Founder & CEO of ContextGrid, a company that worked on a spatial registry with a focus on Augmented Reality, and also serves as a Co Founder and Governing Board Member of OpenARCloud.org.

His specialties include Internet Scale Distributed Big Data and Cloud Systems, Spatial Technologies, Augmented Reality, and Artificial Intelligence.

Arka pursued his education by studying MSc in Enterprise Information Systems at the University of Greenwich and BCom in Information Systems at the University of Cape Town.
