Arjun Gupta

Arjun Gupta is the Founder and CEO of Genetico Research & Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd., where he is building a deep tech company focused on clinical genetics and genomics in India.

His company aims to reduce the time to diagnosis and facilitate medical discoveries in rare and genetic diseases. They have developed a clinical genetics workflow management software with decision support capabilities.

Arjun Gupta has achieved key milestones including being a Biotech Ignition Grant (BIRAC) awardee, receiving a grant from JKEDI (J&K Govt.), and being incubated at NASSCOM, IIT Mandi, JKEDI, and IIIT-Delhi.

Genetico launched its prototype in 2020 and has key opinion leaders as advisors and beta adopters. The company has been featured in the Orphanet Journal of Rare Diseases. Arjun Gupta also won the ASSOCHAM start-up pitching round in J&K, being one of the 23 finalists.

Arjun Gupta's educational background includes a B.Tech in Biotechnology from Amity Institute of Biotechnology and a Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship and Technology Commercialization from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business.

Before founding Genetico, Arjun Gupta held various roles such as Senior Sales Executive at Mapmygenome - Know Yourself, Product Manager at GENOMENON, Product Manager at Advaita Bioinformatics, and Research Associate at the Institute for Research on Labor, Employment, and the Economy at the University of Michigan.

He also served as a Venture Fellow at Mercury Fund, Project Leader and Co-founder at Universal Vaccine, Sales Development Manager at Deutsche Asset Management, Business Analyst/Sales & Marketing at Doctor's Analytical Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., and as an Internee at Nicholas Piramal India Ltd's Department of Pharmacology- High Throughput Screening and Biotechnology Laboratory. Arjun Gupta also had a stint as a Manager & Bass Guitarist at Forbidden Village.
